Mineral Resource Cycle Research (CREM)

As part of Mineral Resource Cycle research, the 2 GEM and Valo teams are gathered around:
2 common objects: rock and fluids,
and a common theme: the characterization of materials.

The GEM and Valo teams aim to understand the formation of mineral resources and the extraction of useful substances.

The development of innovative methods in the field of multi-scale characterization of materials (rocks, minerals, geological fluids, solid and liquid treatment products) makes it possible to improve:
our understanding of the conditions of deposit formation,
their development,
the estimate of their resources,
and the impact of their exploitation for the industry.

At the center of the Mineral Resource Cycle (CREM) theme is a development of innovative methods that aims to:
deepen the transdisciplinary geometallurgical approach,
and to answer the common scientific questions of this project.
