Horizon Europe – DeepBeat Project

Explanations of the DeepBeat Project

The DeepBeat Project – Deep exploration BoostEd by Advanced exploration Technologies – is a Horizon Europe project coordinated by Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf with 11 international partners. The project aims to advance geochemical technologies for detecting deep-seated ore deposits by developing a holistic exploration approach that integrates geochemistry, geophysics, and social sciences.

Within this consortium, GeoRessources is developing a novel data fusion method for portable XRF and LIBS instruments. This process establishes a robust compositional calibration to improve analytical accuracy across diverse matrices. Tested on rock, stream sediment, and plant samples, this technique effectively harnesses corrected LIBS data to identify critical alterations in minor and trace elements.
