THMC experimentation – thermal, hydraulic, mechanical and chemical – at GeoRessources

What are THMC experimentations?

The THMC experimentation involves subjecting a model material or natural sample to mechanical, hydraulic, thermal, or chemical stresses and monitoring its evolution through petrophysical measurements.

The particularities of THMC experiments at GeoRessources

The laboratory works on couplings; observation and characterization can be carried out at laboratory scale up to in-situ observation of natural systems spanning several kilometers. When necessary, tests can be instrumented with the support of spectroscopy platforms and the results interpreted using modeling.
