CIRSET Project – Circular economy for responsible resource management for energy and digital transitions
Explanations of the CIRSET project
The CIRSET project is an initiative of the Université de Lorraine that focuses on interdisciplinarity to address the management of raw materials in the era of energy and digital transitions.
CIRSET brings together geosciences, environmental sciences, materials sciences, economics, social sciences, engineering, social psychology, and education sciences to address the technical, economic, and societal dimensions of a green economy. The program studies all stages of the materials value chain (i.e., responsible extraction, innovative processing, recycling, and stakeholder engagement) while integrating environmental and social perspectives).
By connecting academic research to industrial needs, CIRSET promotes innovation, equips students and professionals with a set of global skills, and strengthens the university’s leadership position in sustainable resource management and the circular economy.
