PEPR Subsurface – common property : The Digital Earth Project

Explanations of the Digital Earth project

Funded with €12 million under the PEPR Subsurface – common property programme, the Digital Earth project aims to develop a unique digital platform providing access to shared geological knowledge in the form of coherent datasets, models, tools, and workflows. One of the four components of the project focuses on spatial prediction. Led by the University of Lorraine and BRGM, this component seeks to develop new methodologies to better integrate geological concepts into quantitative and predictive models, through theoretical advances and the development of novel algorithms and modelling workflows. In this context, the quantification of geological and physical uncertainties will play a central role.
