PhD position – Tectonic evolution and hydrothermal systems in the Vosges Massif
Deadline of application: 05/31/2026
Contact GeoRessources : Gaetan Milesi et Yves Geraud
This PhD project focuses on the spatio-temporal tectonic evolution of the Vosges Massif and its impact on fluid circulation and hydrothermal systems, with applications in geothermal energy and subsurface storage.
The research is based on a multidisciplinary approach, combining:
- low-temperature thermochronology,
- structural field geology,
- petrography and mineralogy,
- regional geophysical data integration.
The project addresses both fundamental geoscience questions (geodynamics) and applied challenges related to the energy transition, within the framework of major programs such as PEPR Fossé Rhénan and the REISOL chair.
The successful candidate will join the GRéSTOCK research team at GeoRessources (UMR 7359), University of Lorraine.
