Microanalysis
The Microanalysis facility has been specifically designed for mineralogical studies and investigation of intra-mineral inclusions containing aqueous liquids, gases, oils and solids.
The facility hosts an array of complementary equipment, and bases its work on a rigorous petrographical approach (optical microscopy, fluorescence, cathodoluminescence).
GeoRessources has five microthermometric plates, a confocal microscope with laser scanner, a LIBS spectrometer and a laser-ablation ICP-MS. For isotopic analyses, GeoRessources uses instrumentation made available to it through the Ressources21 Labex (e.g., mass spectrometer and line for K/Ar-dating, multi-collector ICP-MS with laser ablation).
