The STEVAL experimental station for exploitation of raw materials and residual substances is a mineral-engineering industrial pilot station. The facility is unique in a university setting, placed at the crossroads of academic knowledge, advanced training, industrial issues and environmental preoccupations.
Boasting 2,000 m2 of technical space, STEVAL is equipped with more than 150 instruments dedicated to the study of unit operations for solid-solid or solid-liquid separation. Processes can be simulated at up to 1:1 scale.
STEVAL’s core objectives address the recovery and protection of ore, industrial mineral and water resources, the development of clean and safe mineral-engineering procedures, and the development of techniques for the recovery, recycling and stabilization of residual materials.
